Don't Delay the Joy Poetry

Don't Delay the Joy Poetry is Christian prose written by author Robert L Gardiner. The poetry is Christ centered, based on the author's love of Jesus Christ. His own personal experiences give added meaning to each poem, which proved to be an excellent form of catharsis for the author, during a time in which it was needed. It is the hope of the author that those that read his works will also feel a sense of renewal, through the readings, but more importantly come to a better understanding of the importance of having their own personal relationship with the Lord.

About the Author
The 59 year old author, was born in Gettysburg Pennsylvania. However, the majority of his life was spent in the Blue Ridge and Alleghany Mountains of Virginia, where at the age of two, his family moved to Radford, Virginia. The author's father relocated the family there because of his employment at Radford University. His 88 year old mother continues to reside there today as well as an older brother and his family. Rounding out the family is an older sister, who resides in Atlanta with husband and family. The early influences of living in a wonderful small college town atmosphere with loving parents and siblings proved to be a strong foundation on which to build his early experiences upon.

After graduating from Milligan College, a Liberal Arts Christian College, in 1974 with a B. A. degree in Sociology and Psychology the author moved to California, working in the inner city schools of Los Angeles, as a teacher and coach. After six years, time was spent back at East Tennessee State University working on a Master's degree in Counseling, while serving as an Assistant Basketball Coach and Assistant Dorm Director at Milligan. After a one year return back out to California, the author moved to North Carolina, where he continues to reside, while working as a High School Counselor.
